The upcoming consultants strike and August Bank Holiday is likely to put local NHS services under significant pressure, and local people are being urged to choose services appropriately during this time and take simple steps to help ensure care is available to patients who need it most.

A Maternity Wellbeing Festival is being held at Kettering General Hospital this month to support parents-to-be and new families.

KGH is calling for local residents to have their say in the future of our hospital by standing for election as a Public Governor. 

Anyone from across Northamptonshire (Kettering, East Northants, West Northants, Corby, Wellingborough areas) can stand for election to become a Public Governor in their local area if they are over 16.

A state-of-the-art surgical robot has now been used to perform 250 life-saving cancer operations to help improve care for cancer patients.

The University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group – which runs Northampton and Kettering general hospitals – has invested in the £1.7m Surgical Robot as part of its clinical strategy.

The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced that junior doctors will take part in strike action from 7am on 13 July until 7am on 18 July 2023 and hospital consultants will strike for 48 hours from 7am on 20 July.
