Respiratory service expands and reduces the need for multiple visits

Kettering General Hospital is expanding a service for respiratory patients which has reduced the need for multiple visits to hospital.

The expansion has involved the hospital’s Thoracoscopy Service investing £24,000 it won in an internal Dragon’s Den-style competition held for staff in October 2018.

Frank Radcliffe Fracture Clinic opens in new location in hospital

Kettering General Hospital is about to open a significantly refurbished and improved fracture clinic service in a new location within the hospital.

The Frank Radcliffe Clinic will re-open to all of its patients (after using temporary accommodation in two different places) on Monday, February 25, following a £2.4m hospital refurbishment and relocation programme to improve patient care.

Today, 14 February, the NHS’s Freedom to Speak Up National Guardian,  Dr Henrietta Hughes, visited KGH.

She spoke to us about national best practice in this area and we shared some of the work we have done to promote Freedom to Speak Up at KGH including drop-in surgeries, recruiting FTSU champions across the Trust and our development plans.

Andy Callow the Trust’s new Chief Digital and Information Officer

Kettering General Hospital has appointed to a new role designed to maximise the benefits of digital technology for patients and staff.
 
Andy Callow will become the Trust’s new Chief Digital and Information Officer from the Spring, 2019. He is currently Programme Director for the innovative NHS App at NHS Digital.
