Visiting suspensions and mask wearing reintroduced at NGH and KGH as COVID and flu infections increase

From tomorrow (Thursday 29 December 2022) both Northampton and Kettering General Hospitals are suspending visiting for adult inpatient wards and are asking patients and any visitors to the hospital to wear a mask, due to a significant increase in COVID, flu, RSV infections.

An incredible home-made ball gown astonished members of a prostate cancer support group when they realised it was made entirely of their own ties!
 
Members of Kettering and District Prostate Cancer Support Group had no idea what their ties were going to be used for when they responded to a request to donate them.

What you need to know about Group A Streptococcus, Scarlet Fever and Invasive Group A Streptococcus

There has been a lot of information in the news recently about Group A Streptococcus sometimes called Group A Strep or GAS, and children becoming seriously unwell. Some of these children have unfortunately become seriously unwell very quickly.
 
With winter viruses circulating here is what you need to know about GAS and Scarlet Fever and what to do if your child is poorly. As a parent, if you feel that your child seems seriously unwell, you should trust your own judgement and seek medical help from your GP, NHS 111 or A&E.
